Trolley
The Interurban Trolley operates five fixed-route bus lines, providing affordable public transit to the region. Service includes two regional routes—one connecting Elkhart and Goshen, and another connecting Elkhart to downtown South Bend with service through Mishawaka. Three additional circulator routes serve major corridors and destinations within the City of Elkhart.
Rider's Guide
Catching the Trolley
Wait for the Trolley at any signed stop or standing AFTER any intersection along the route. Wave at the Trolley so the driver knows you would like to board. Plan on arriving to the stop 5 to 10 minutes early if possible. The Trolley operates on a flag stop system so you may board anywhere along the route.
Riding the Trolley
You must have the exact fare ready or a valid Interurban Trolley Pass (the Route 30 Mishawaka/Elkhart line also accepts Transpo Passes) to give to the driver when boarding the Trolley. If you need to ride multiple trolleys in one day purchase a Day Pass from the driver for $2.00 when you board your first trolley. Free transfers are no longer issued.
Getting off the Trolley
Pull the stop request cord by the windows to inform the driver to stop at the next available location. Once the Trolley stops, exit as quickly and safely as you can. Be sure to carry all personal belongings with you upon exiting the Trolley.

Accessibility

This can be used, on request, by any passenger who requires step-free boarding, whether they are in a wheelchair or not. The front door of all Trolleys can also “kneel” to reduce the step-up to board.
Two wheelchair tie-down locations are available on each Trolley and are located in the midsection of the seating area. To signal the driver when you want to get off the bus, pull the stop request cord conveniently located by the windows.
Riders requiring the use of respirators, concentrators, or personal oxygen during their trip will be allowed on board the Interurban Trolley if the equipment can be safely transported and be under the rider's control during the trip. Only one oxygen tank is allowed at one time.
