Elkhart Transfer Center Relocating on December 8

The Interurban Trolley’s Elkhart Transfer Center will be permanently relocated to Second Street by the Train Depot on Monday, December 8.

Buses will stop on the east side of Second Street between Tyler and Harrison, exiting northbound on Second.

The City of Elkhart is installing temporary bus shelters located on the west side of the street, and passengers waiting there must cross the street to board buses. These temporary shelters will be replaced by the City of Elkhart in the coming months with permanent new canopy structures on the east side of the street.

The relocation of the transfer center will improve service and set up new multimodal connection opportunities for our riders.

New Transfer Center Location Along with Additional Service Changes:
Route 30 – Yellow Line: Will now travel along 2nd Street to the new Transfer Center. Service along High Street will be removed to streamline the route.

Route 50 – Red Line: Will now turn from Harrison, then right on Main, and continue to Tyler toward the new Transfer Center. Will no longer travel north of Harrison Street.

Route 33 – Blue Line: Will use Main Street in both directions between Harrison St and Jackson Blvd.

Route 35 – Orange Line: Outbound buses will now use 2nd Street northbound to High Street.

Route 32 – Green Line: Inbound Northwest Loop will continue on 2nd Street from Jackson Blvd directly into the new Transfer Center. Outbound Southwest Loop will continue on 2nd Street to Marion St before resuming the regular route.
